I recently wanted to replace Transmission with qBittorrent as my go-to torrenting client as I've read several places that the latter has a better UI, security, etc. I use a dual-booted Macbook Pro running macOS High Sierra and Windows 10. I tried installing qBittorrent on the mac partition first. Start qBittorrent, use search tab to search for any file. Double click on file to start download. Switch to Transfer tab to check progress. No connection is establishe, Status is "Stalled" and ETA is infinite and there are no "Peers".
